South West Child Protection Procedures: For the legislative requirements and expectations on individual services to safeguard and promote the welfare of children; and a clear framework for Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCBs) to monitor the effectiveness of local services.
The Prevent duty 2015 requires individual schools to train all members of staff in the understanding of how to be aware of the risks of radicalisation and be alert to changes in behaviours.
As with other areas of safeguarding, there should also be a basic knowledge amongst ALL school staff of how to raise concerns they may have.
