Prevent initiative

The Prevent duty 2015 requires individual schools to train all members of staff in the understanding of how to be aware of the risks of radicalisation and be alert to changes in behaviours.

As with other areas of safeguarding, there should also be a basic knowledge amongst ALL school staff of how to raise concerns they may have.

This has been rolled out to a wider audience and it is recommended that all members of the public should have access to basic awareness training, especially if you have or work with children and young adults. The e-learning package can be accessed through this portal:-

If you wish to report a safeguarding incident to a member of staff Mrs Jackson the Head Teacher is the lead safeguarding officer.  Should Mrs Jackson not be available Mr Bath is the Deputy Lead.
The safeguarding Governor is Mr John Hayden
Should you feel that you cannot speak directly to any of the above then please telephone N. Somerset 0n 01275 888808 to express your concerns.
